Curriculum

Six building blocks of confident care.

Each module pairs classroom learning with skills-lab practice, then carries into supervised clinical time — so knowledge becomes instinct.

Foundations of Caregiving

The role of the nursing assistant, patient rights, ethics, communication, and HIPAA privacy.

Safety & Infection Control

Standard precautions, hand hygiene, safe transfers, fall prevention, and emergency response.

Personal Care Skills

Bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, mobility, and the 22 state-tested manual skills.

Vital Signs & Observation

Measuring and recording temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and reporting changes.

Restorative & Specialized Care

Range-of-motion, dementia and end-of-life care, mental health, and resident dignity.

Clinical Practicum

Supervised, hands-on care in a real care setting — where classroom skills become muscle memory.

Admissions

What you'll need to start.

  • Be at least 18 years old (or meet minor-enrollment rules)
  • High-school diploma or GED, or be currently enrolled
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Pass a background check and required health screenings
  • Reliable attendance — caregiving is a hands-on craft
